THIRD WEEK EXPERIENCE OF TEACHING PRACTICE

 On 17th, due to CTET exam leave was granted.

On 18th as usual, covid duties was done by checking the temperature and by sanitizing the hands of the students and teachers. There was a surprise observation visit of Smitha mam, Assistant professor of Sree Narayana Training College nedunganda, She was the teacher in charge of general paper. We provided assistance for the teacher for the seating arrangement as well as assigning the teacher to different classes for observation. I was having class only at the fourth period till then I assisted the teacher  for observing our colleague classes. Then by fourth period, mam entered my class for observation. She conveyed good comments about my class .I was assigned  to take acid rain and alkalis for 9B where I showed the experiments of reactions. Students were very much eager to watch the experiment and they corporated well in the class. Smitha mam was very much impressed with the experiments demonstrated in the class and my awareness class regarding acid rain, where I connected with the different destruction caused due to acid rain and ways to prevent acid rain as an fellow being to protect our mother earth.

Then we asked about school based activity to Smitha mam regarding our topic "Just say no to plastic bags". Teacher gave the permission to carry on with the topic and then we moved it to HM for approval for conducting the activity.HM granted the permission with pleasure. By 3.00 we signed the register and left school.

On 19th, Viji mam, my optional teacher visited our school for observation.I Had class in the first hour in 8J assigned with Physics subject and unit was  spherical mirrors. They were only few students present, I was a little bit tensed as the  students were a little bit difficult to handle. I Started the class with the introduction of the concave and convex Mirrors by showing the spoon and the Mirrors as my teaching aid. Students listen carefully but they were  slow in writing the notes, then activity cards were provided, were the students showed an anxious behaviour to see what is inside the card. My observation Class started and ended smoothly. Then Due to the lack of time, teacher moved to other classes for my peers observation. The Comments of my class were given in the afternoon were mam clearly pointed out my shortcomings as well as my credits. Then we moved towards the canteen for supplying lunch for the students. Then as usual we left the school by 3.30.

The school based activity based was conducted on 20th in the first hour for class 8th and 9th.

It was arranged in the computer lab and the programe started by 9.30 with a prayer song of Aswani, Teacher trainee followed by the inaugral session of Honey teacher(HM in charge).We decided to conduct it in two sessions. In the first part included the awareness talk based on just say no to plastic by Akash DS, teacher trainee of SNTC and Ppt was prepared by me and in the second part practical session was conducted for making paper bags and the practical session was carried over by Nayana and team. It was a successful event where students actively participated in the practical session. Then we moved to our respective classes and by 3.30 we left home with a sad mind because from the next day onwards due to Covid 19 classes were suspended for 2 weeks.

On 21st, as usual we reached school by 9am in the morning. Today there were no classes and we left home by 12.30pm.
