THIRD WEEK TEACHING PRACTICE (18/07/2022 - 22/07/2022)

 REFLECTION

Immersing myself and taking advantage of every opportunity given to me was really enriching my teaching experience. What I found was that teaching was the perfect time to think outside of the box and try different things. If they didn’t work, they didn’t work. At least, I got to try them in a safe environment. And in the process, I got to work on vital skills for teaching, such as classroom management.

School Experience

In this week, we got an unexpected holiday as a result of KSU strike on July 20.

On July 21,in the morning session many programmes were held in the school on the ocassion of "Moon Day".

There were a quiz competition conducted as a part of "MOON DAY" and Bhagya and gouri from the UP session won the prize.

On July 21st , a PTA meeting was held to raise an awareness about Cyber bullying.

The meeting was conducted for almost 2 hours in the afternoon session.

In the PTA meeting, new representatives were selected for the further smooth functioning of the school.

I attended all of the meetings and met with parents. With the amount of work I put into creating lessons. I gained more experience, meet more people, and found a new niche within the teaching community..

Class Experience

The entire classes assigned to me was moving well and there were no major hiccups.

The Students were becoming much closer to me day by day. When they had free time, they would call me. The exciting thing was that anytime they saw me, I could see a feeling of  happiness on their faces.

I contacted test papers for four classes this week. On July 19 and July 21, respectively, I contacted test papers for the 8F, 9E,9C and 8G sections. On the same day that I made corrections, I distributed the answer sheet. The majority of the students had good grades, and I offered to give them candy if they received full marks. I then gave out chocolates as a reward once the total of 60 students from four classes received full grades.

And in the process, I got to work on vital skills for teaching, such as classroom management. Luckily, I had an awesome cooperating students who set me free to try new things. Of course, it was always helpful to have my cooperating teacher review my lesson plans and advise me on things that I could do to improve my ideas to ensure that they were viable in the classroom.
